Fun Facts!

#1 If someone is having trouble with their liver and they are being treated for it, doctors tell them to let them know if their poop sinks instead of floats. The reason is because your liver makes bile and bile helps digestive enzymes to break down lipids/fats that you eat. If your liver is failing then it won't make bile to help break down lipids which results in bigger chunks of lipids in your poop. Lipids float so your poop will float. If your poop sinks then that is an indication to the doctors that your liver is functioning better and making bile :)

#2 Cheerios really do help your cholesterol! Here's how. Bile sticks to oat bran and foods like cheerios more than other foods. Well, most of your bile is recycled. If it is stuck to the cheerios than it can't be recycled. Bile is made out of cholesterol. Your body will make more bile and use up more cholesterol to make that bile. Therefore your cholesterol goes down :)

#3 There is a chemical that is found in poop called skatole. Skatole contributes to making poop smell the way it does. Well, skatole is also found in some vanilla ice creams. We like the smell of ice cream and the way it tastes. Hmmm..... :/
